Technological processes optimization of composite materials and structures

This research direction is related to the design of optimized properties of composite materials and structures. A new optimization method based on experiment planning and response surface method has been created. This method consists of four steps: the optimal finding of the experimental plan, the determination of material and design properties at the experimental plan points, using computer calculations or natural experiments, approximation of the acquired properties with simple mathematical functions in the area of interest and optimization using approximation functions and restrictions. Computer programs for the optimal design of composite materials and structures have been developed.
