Calculations, modeling and design of composite materials and structures
This research direction is related to calculations of the final elements of statically and dynamically loaded composite structures. Finite element models for calculations of layered composites and sandwich type bars, slabs and shells have been developed. Modeling of the final elements of composite structures is carried out, including calculations of composite material micromechanics at the level of one layer or matrix and fiber. Studies have been done on how to combine microstructure (fiber, matrix, layer) of composite materials with material and design behavior at macro level (rod, plate, shell). Computer programs is used to calculate the finite elements of composite structures .
