Monitoring of the technological condition of structures

One of the most advanced solutions for monitoring the technical condition of structures is the combination of methods for identifying vibration-based damage with sensor-integrated structures. In this case, dynamic design features are derived from integrated sensors in structures, using natural variations in design during operation, or sensor oscillations using active design control. The consequence of this solution is the ability to monitor the technical condition of the construction on-line (in real time) without the use of additional equipment, and in the future, when designing so-called smart structures, it would be possible to entrust this task to the computer. Effective real-time monitoring of the technical state of the constructions would increase the safety of structures, extend the life of the vehicles, reduce maintenance costs and predict the remaining life of the structure.
